Confirmed track result for karts

After long and thorough verifications, the results of Round 4 of the Italian Rallycross Championship, held on July 17 in Castelletto di Branduzzo (PV), were also confirmed for the Kartcross category.

Let us then look at the situation in all categories

Among the Supercars, victory went to Davide Volterra (VW Scirocco), who was well ahead of Michele Andolina (Fiat Punto). Rosario Corallo (Subaru Impreza) remains at the top of the overall standings with 90.5 points, ahead of Andolina with 67 and Volterra with 28.

Second race and second win for Gianmarco Donetto from Piedmont who won the final with his Skoda Fabia R5 preceding the returning Marco Noris, also on Skoda Fabia R5. Third place for rookie Marco Superti (90) on Peugeot 208.

Gian Maria Gabbiani still manages to keep the lead with overall with 120 points, ahead of Fabio Mezzatesta (108) and Donetto (80).

STC/Super 1600

In STC-1600 victory went to Poland's Conrad Gryz (Peugeot 106); second place went to Paolo Barbieri (Citroen C2), while third place went to Matteo Valazza (Citroen Saxo).

Barbieri remains the overall leader with 108 points, ahead of Valazza with 92 and Marco Valsesia with 86.5.

The final of the STC +2000 saw Hungarian Zoltan Held win, ahead of compatriot Tibor Vamosi, both in BMW M3s. Alberto Palestrini and his Renault Super 5 remain firmly in the championship lead with 64.5 points, ahead of Held (28) and Vamosi (25).

The Super 1600 final had been resolved in favor of a surging Jenni Sonzogni (Renault Clio), who was able to overtake an experienced driver such as Marco Valazza (Ford Fiesta), who, however, remains at the head of the overall standings with 69 points, just ahead of Sonzogni (48). More detached is the third, Armando Tocchio, with 10 points.

There is an interesting situation in the STC min-2000, where Arianna Corallo (Opel Astra) proceeds by a few points, 106.5 versus 103.75, Marco Nicolini winner at Castelletto Circuit in his Peugeot 205. Roman Castoral, after the unfortunate Round 4 round, is on 62 points.

All kinds of things happened in the Kartcross event, with accidents, overtaking, and red flags; in the end, however, as mentioned, the result sanctioned by the track was confirmed, with the victory of Riccardo Canzian (Speedcar Xtreme) ahead of Maicol Giacomotti (Planet Kart Cross K3) and Nicolò Grieco (GMN).

Now the championship standings see Canzian leading with 184 points ahead of Marcello Gallo (LifeLive TN5) with 181.5 points and Nicolo Grieco with 161.5.

RX Under 18

The Trophy dedicated to the Under 18s sees Valentino Ledda (Ya-Car) in the lead after 4 trials with 124 points; decidedly more detached the others, starting with second and third, Marcus Antonio Marinelli (GMN) and Matteo Bernini (KC), divided between them by only half a point; 65.5 vs. 65.

Ittiri trial cancelled, last and decisive trial will be in Maggiora

For organizational reasons, the event scheduled for September 3/4 at the Ittiri Rally Arena in Ittiri (SS) has been canceled.

The Italian Rallycross Championship will then conclude in Maggiora Offroad Arena on October 22/23 with a round with coefficient 2 and also valid for the FIA CEZ Championship.
