Virtual race, real fun!

Drivers can't do without racing and since you can't get off the track, Sport Club Maggiora has decided to organise a virtual race!
Thanks to the usual, immense work of our Maurizio Labella and with the spectacular technical commentary of Mirko Zanni, Round 1 of the Italian Rallycross Championship #RXHOMEDITION was staged on Sunday 19 April, on the Dirt Rally 2.0 platform and with the collaboration of New Video Games.
Several of the real protagonists of the tricolour RX, some 'guest stars' from other motorsport disciplines and even some fansattended !
In the end the best was Filippo Bossetti, who became Bilippo in the game: "I amreally amazed at how fun and competitive the e-sports event turned out to be," said Bossetti, " and I am even more amazed at my result, a really unexpected clean sweep. I have trained with many of the riders in the race and had only won a couple of sessions, I still don't understand such a quantum leap!
It's nice to finally get back into the race somehow, crazy to feel your body's reactions to the racing environment when you're just sitting at home, and even nicer to race against guys we're used to seeing in the stands. I hope to get back into racing soon, preferably in a real car, but for a second online event I could be in the game too!"
Second position for Michele Bormolini, while the real surprise came from Ermes Mapi, a great fan and supporter, who showed in the game that he has skills equal to real drivers! Also worth mentioning is the splendid gesture of fairplay by the winner Bossetti, who donated to Mapi the prize reserved for the winner, i.e. the possibility, as soon as the lockdown was over, to carry out a test at Maggiora Offroad Arena with a Kart Planet Kartcross Italia!

In short, the race was virtual, but the emotions and fun were absolutely real! And Bossetti, however, don't worry, the next round of the Italian Rallycross Championship #RXHOMEDITION is already on the calendar: appointment on 3 May!
